It doesn’t matter whether 2008 was your best ever, a decent year or it totally sucked. I’ll bet you’d like to make 2009 even better. I know I plan on making it my best ever! Would you care to join me? What’s it going to take?
#1. Create clarity of exactly what your best year ever means. If you look back at your past 1-3 years statistics, you should be able to see what your best has been from your past results. Look at your average monthly results, or your average quarterly results, then add a minimum of 10%, better yet…set your sights on the 20% or better target goal.
I was meeting with Sensei Scaccia during our break and it was amazing how the past three years his stats showed that he has been doing almost identical #Info Calls per month.
In his case, that number happens to be an average of forty calls. He wants to take that area up another 20% or better, so for him, that number would be about forty eight Info Calls each month, which should also increase his new members between 3-5 per month.
#2. Design your Massive Action Plan (M.A.P.). Many times I witness students set a goal with little to no thought put to what actions they need to take to make it happen. Clarity of your exact goal gives you what to FOCUS on, your M.A.P. gives you the ACTION.
In order for Sensei Scaccia, or you for that matter, to increase his Info Calls by 20% or better, he needs to develop a M.A.P. for his marketing. Both internally and externally. In his case, he is aiming to create 80% of his desired number through internal events and the other 20% through external events and promotions.
